Being yourself is so underrated…
In a world where everyone is trying to fit in and create content that ‘works’, trying to beat the algorithm, moaning about the various social media platforms and what they will and won’t let you do (anyone remember life before social media??! I do!).
I can absolutely guarantee that the only thing you have going for you is your thoughts, ideas and creativity.
Can you learn to weave those thoughts into stories and content that speaks to someone?
That’s all you need to create an audience – share thoughts that appeal to one person and then gather that tribe of like-minded people around you…
Don’t be beige or boring or a cheap knock off of someone else.
Can you actually say what you think? Write what you think? Critically think?
That is a guaranteed way to get noticed.
The writer JM Barrie, creator of Peter Pan said it beautifully: ‘As soon as you can say what you think, and not what some other person has thought for you, you are on your way to being a remarkable man.’
So how can you stand out?
Be remarkable in all that you do? Set fire to the imaginations of the people around you?
Easier than you think but like all worthwhile things, there is some work involved…
